The Pick: Mr. Claudio Caniggia would not have made my Top 100 if I had strictly based my rankings on statistics. Now, Caniggia’s career stats weren’t subpar in the least (over 400 pro matches and more than 50 appearances and three World Cups for Argentina), but he also had that rare electric talent that can change a game at any time. Tragically though, he’s a great player that may end up being better remembered for the one game he missed. Read more... (4 words, 4 images, estimated 1 secs reading time)

Having avoided heavyweights Barcelona and Manchester United, the Nerazzurri were handed a relatively ‘easy’ tie against Moscow. Chelsea found out earlier in the week that they won all of those titles a few years back for a reason. The reason was because they had a great coach during that era.
Now this isn’t an attack on Carlo Ancelotti or anyone else currently in the Chelsea front office, but regardless of what you think about the guy, Jose Mourinho is flat out one of the few elite football managers in the entire world. The official headline is that Inter’s return trip to Sicily ended in a 1-1 draw as Palermo successfully defended their long unbeaten home run.
The real headline is that Inter’s nine point lead over AC Milan has vanished. A Milan win at home to Napoli on Sunday will put them top of the table. If that happens Inter will no longer be in control of its destination. If Milan wins all its remaining games Inter cannot stop them from winning the title. Inter’s dismal run of form in the Serie A continues. Read more... (283 words, 1 image, estimated 1:08 mins reading time)
Stadi0 Atleti Azurri d’Italia is not only a very difficult name for a Yank to say (especially after a few pints), but it also is considered one of the worst football stadiums in the top flight of any European football league. The club that is rewarded this dishonor is Atalanta who by the end of October were playing like the worst top flight club in all of European football. So perhaps the stadium suits the club after all.
